Color Club Takes Fashion Week By Storm

With Imitation, Charlotte Ronson and Katie Gallagher

Color Club Presents Nail Looks from the Perfect Natural Color to Red Red Blood Inspired Nail Art

New York – September 14, 2011 – Following the company’s consumer debut in August 2011, Color Club, the New York based nail color company hit New York Fashion Week by storm.

Color Club kicked off New York Fashion Week SS/12 with the bridal themed Imitation Show. The nail, developed by Color Club lead and celebrity manicurist, Fumiko Kano featured Color Club’s Incognito, a pinky beige tone and Silver Glitter and small rhinestones from Color Club’s Art Club nail art line.  The nail added the perfect amount of femininity and sparkle to the bridal-themed show.

Color Club took the Stage at Lincoln Center for the Charlotte Ronson SS/12 Show. Charlotte Ronson and her team carefully chose from Color Club’s core line of more than 150 shades and found Pret-a-Pink, the perfect natural pinky nude shade to complement the minimalist airy looks seen on the models. Front row admirers included: Nikki Hilton, Whitney Port, Kelly Osbourne, and Olivia Palermo.

From Lincoln Center to Milk Studio’s – Color Club took center stage at Katie Gallagher’s “SS12 Red Red Blood” Presentation with admirers including Jared Leto, Lucy Liu, and Hope Atherton. The nail featured Color Club’s Where’s the Soiree black on the underside of the nail with two coats of Color Club’s Red-ical Gypsy on the nail. The long rounded nail was finished with a holepunch at the tip with a double layer of Gutermann thread. The Nail Team lead was celebrity manicurist Alicia Torello from the Wall Group.

Katie Gallagher speaking about the inspiration for her SS12 RED RED BLOOD Presentation:  ”My spring-summer collection comes from Blood. Not the blood of nightmares or brutality, but the blood that’s sanguine, living and the brightest red, always moving, coursing, and restless inside us, all the while staying hidden to the outside world.”

Color Club will also be the featured nail team for the ThreeASFOUR collection on September 15, 2011.

OCRF Ombre

July 29th, 2011

Ombre:
shaded or graduated in tone: said of a color

Lately we have been seeing a trend: ombre everything! I have seen ombre hair, clothing, fabric, and of course my favorite … on nails! I had wanted to try my own version for awhile and I finally got around to doing it.  Since we have  two new limited edition blue/teal colors for Ovarian Cancer Research FundOCRF (www.ocrf.org) and Super Saturday, I figured it was the perfect time to do it.  Super Saturday is an awesome event hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karen this Saturday, July 30th, in the Hamptons on Long Island.  Color Club is going to be doing the manicures and nail art on everyone, right at our Color Club color bar booth! We’re super excited and it is raising money for an amazing cause: Ovarian Cancer Research.   If you are going to be at the event this Saturday, stop by, get your nails done and say hi!

Here is my full ombre manicure:

From L to R (thumb – Color Club Blue-Topia, OCRF Teal, Super Saturday Teal, Factory Girl, Take Me To Your Chateau – pinky)

Here are the two OCRF colors that inspired my ombre! Left, Super Saturday Teal – Right, OCRF Teal

Here are all the colors I used: Color Club Blue-Topia (or you can use Gossip Column),  OCRF Teal, Super Saturday Teal, Factory Girl, Take Me To Your Chateau

I loved doing this manicure! It was a lot of fun and I was excited to see how it would come out when I had all the colors on.  The great thing about it is that:

1. You get to utilize a lot of colors, possibly some you haven’t even tried yet, if  you’re a polish junkie like myself!

and

2. You can do any color! Try orange, greens, pinks, ANY color would look awesome.  You can do lightest color to darkest or darkest to lightest.  It looks really cool and trendy! Trust me, I’m not one to usually follow nail trends but I just had to give in on this :)

To purchase the two brand new limited edition custom colors:  “In The Teal” collection (wow, thats a mouthful!) please visit our new retail website Shop Color Club: click here.

A portion of the proceeds goes to OCRF (www.ocrf.org) to benefit Ovarian Cancer Research.  Please join us in helping a amazing cause. Ovarian Cancer is the 5th leading cause of death in American women and awareness month is coming up in September.  Wear your teal proudly! I would love to see your ombre manicures and your thoughts on them!
