So Trendy: Color Blocking

Color Blocking is far from new, but the trend is so simple, yet so genius that it’s still going strong for Spring/Summer 2013. So what is it? Color blocking takes the idea of pairing bold, vibrant, colors and pairing them or “blocking” them in one single look to create the ultimate contrast. While not everyone is brave enought to wear neon pants and fuschia blazers, color blocking can successfully be worn through shoes, jewelry, and our favorite cosmetic, nail polish!

Now, you can color block your manicure with all sorts of bold geometric patterns using striping brushes, scotch tape, and lots of patience… but we’re a fan of a much simpler approach: the mani/pedi color block. It’s the easiest way to dip your (fabulously polished) toe in the water and pull off the sizzling trend. Below we’ve paired some of Color Club’s boldest colors to wear this summer. Wear them on their own or pair with some bright peep-toed pumps and bangles, either way you’re going to be one trendy chica.
